CrossFit Waterloo was established in 2009 by Chris Vranes and Eddie Larin.

From the beginning, it has been our goal to create the best fitness program and facility in the region measured solely on the results of our members. We have been creating a space at CrossFit Waterloo that isn’t just a place to work out, but a place to help people restore function and ability, improve their physical and mental well-being, gain confidence, and find friendship and support in an incredible community.

We have a proven track record with people from all walks of life – from getting athletes to the CrossFit Games, to helping people regain the ability to carry out daily tasks, to everything in between.

Whether you’re new to fitness, or a seasoned athlete, we guarantee that with your consistency and willingness to learn, we will help you improve your mental, physical, and emotional life.

Integrity: To us, integrity is doing the right thing in any situation, even if it’s not the easiest thing to do. It is treating others and our environment with respect. We always want our members to know that we are true and real, stick to our word, and make decisions that put the needs of the community first. We intentionally foster an environment that is inclusive and non-judgemental. Everyone receives equal treatment as long as long as they’re here with a positive attitude, an open-mind, and are willing to work hard to achieve a positive result.

Quality: We pride ourselves on our world-class coaching. This means you can count on CrossFit Waterloo to provide the most knowledge, the best results, and a pleasant experience along the way. With our main focus on quality of movement and building a proper foundation, we help our members restore function in their bodies. Due to this approach, not only do our members avoid new injuries, but they can heal past injuries at the root of the issue to keep them from ever resurfacing.

Intelligence: We put a lot of thought, research, and work into what we do. There are numerous components to health and fitness (cardiovascular endurance, strength, flexibility, balance, nutrition, sleep, recovery, neurological components, and many more) as well as a wealth of information to sift through, and many different approaches to pursue. We are proud of our program that achieves a balance between the many aspects of fitness as simply as possible. We are committed to continuing to pursue answers and expand our knowledge.
